San Francisco Presidio Wedding: Jason & Lori

Jason & Lori were referred to me by my best friend Jocelyn, as Jason used to be Jocelyn’s husband’s partner at work. I met them for coffee and knew instantly that they were my kind of people, and that their wedding would be a blast. Jason was adamant that Lori wear a white dress, and she continuously joked with him that it was actually red. So we had a lot of fun the day of the wedding teasing him that her dress matched her red nails! I think the first thing he asked me was actually, “Is it red?”

The wedding took place in the Presidio in San Francisco, and was set up perfectly. Lori, her daughters, and Jason’s sister all got ready at the Inn, the ceremony was next door at the chapel, and the reception was next door to that at the Officer’s Club. What a cool area! Of course, with a December wedding, you never know what you’re gonna get with the weather. And BOY did we get rain! It poured the entire day. My boots were soaked through to my socks within an hour of being there, even though I spent most of my time inside. Then, after the ceremony, we got lucky enough to get a break to get some outdoor shots. I love when things work out like that!

Now, you may be asking yourself, with unpredictable weather, why would they choose to get married in December? That might just be the best part—December 7th is a very special date for Lori & Jason. It’s the date he saved her life while they were on duty together back in 2012, it’s the date he proposed to her in 2016, and the date they chose to officially unite in 2019. Goosebumps!

Jason & Lori, thanks for an amazing day. I love you both, and can’t wait until we get to hang again! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day {images resized for faster load times}
