Megan & Chris were married at the Trappe Ranch in Sebastopol, CA on July 8th. What a beautiful wedding! The day before had been really hot, so we were thankful that things cooled off a bit for their special day. Talk about a gorgeous venue! The girls got ready in a house on the property right next to a pond, a school bus brought guests up to the ceremony site on a hill, and the barn was absolutely to DIE FOR! So many beautiful lights and decor pieces, it was absolutely stunning!
Megan was absolutely chill the whole day. She just went with the flow and never seemed stressed! I love that in a bride. She is so sweet, and so fun to be around. She and Chris were constantly laughing, and you could just see in the way the look at each other that there is so much love there.
This was one of my biggest bridal parties, at 10 each of bridesmaids and groomsmen! Whew! Everyone did great, and was so helpful throughout the day. As usual, I wanted to spotlight a couple of my favorite moments:
–The shotguns. The whole bridal party drank a beer and the bride & groom shotgunned one for a photo! Megan used her nail to try to poke her hole, and the beer sprayed ALL over her. She wasn’t even mad, just full of laughs! (See photo below). I used my skirt to help dry her off 😉
–Chris’ Mom’s speech. One of my favorite stories, possibly of all time! Chris’ mom mentioned that she had wanted a girl, even more so after having her first son. When she was pregnant with Chris, she just *knew* it was a girl, and she wanted to name her Megan. Alas, it was Chris, and she was a mom of two boys. “I’ve finally got my Megan,” she said. SO SWEET!
–Chris’ reaction to photos being done. I stole them away for some sunset photos before I was set to leave, and for the millionth time, told Chris he had to take his sunglasses off and set his beer down (I know, sometimes I have to be the fun police). After we were done, he asked me, “So that’s it right?” After I confirmed he immediately put his glasses back on, loosened his tie, un-tucked his shirt, and got ready to party! It was hilarious.
