I met Jessica & Ryan a couple months ago when I did their maternity photos (see those here). I went on and on in that blog post about how much I loved both Jessica & Ryan, so I don’t need to do that again here…just know that they are two of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met! And now I got to meet their baby boy, Duke, and (fur)baby girl, Sadie. Talk about a couple of sweeties! Just as before, Jessica had some GREAT ideas for our shoot. I loved the stuff she had ready, and the way things just flowed so easily. Thanks for making things so easy, guys! And big thanks to Ryan’s mom, Tug, for helping out. I typically like to shoot newborn photos at/in your home. It makes things so much easier for both you & baby, and also makes things personal. We were able to do the photos on Jess & Ryan’s front porch, in their bed, and in their backyard. Jess pulled some items that came from her parents, and even used the doll bed she had as a child. I love making things personal, and tying them in to some sort of sentimental/emotional connection. That’s what it’s all about, to me!
