I met Joe & Sandra when I shot their engagement photos earlier this year. I was glad to meet them to not only get to know them, but to also get familiar with their doggies, Frankie & Tobias. You all know of my love of dogs, so I was very excited when I learned they would also be apart of their wedding day! Joe & Sandra were married on a Thursday, and I was so happy to photograph their mountain house estate wedding. They are the most laid-back couple, and were actually both sick with colds for their wedding day. They both were taking mucinex, and fighting through the sickness to enjoy their day–they did a great job of it! We did a first look before starting the ceremony at the beautiful oak tree, then continued on with a reception. I love Mountain House Estate, because the options are endless as to how to customize your day!
I had a few favorite memories from this wedding, so I’ll go ahead and jump right to them:
–Frankie & Tobias, obviously. Frankie is actually deaf and served as the flower girl, and Tobias was their ring bearer. He even had a special collar to hold the rings. Adorable!
–Sandra’s dress was absolutely stunning, and she paired it with a comfy pair of boots so she could truly enjoy the day. Love when my brides stay true to who they for their big day!
–Their ceremony was so special. Their vows were so well written, and it was some of the most powerful words I’ve heard at a wedding. They also had all of the guests stand and hold hands at one point, and bridge the gap between the aisle by doing so. Such a sweet moment.
–Sandra’s dad’s speech was so incredibly sweet. He basically bragged about Sandra and her accomplishments as a child, adolescent, teenager, and adult for 20 minutes. You can absolutely tell that she is just the most important person in his life!
Joe & Sandra, I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with you. Best wishes to you both! Here are some of my favorite images from the day. Note, image quality reduced for faster load times:
