Taylor & Amy are high school sweethearts and were married at Catelli’s restaurant in Geyserville. I had no clue that Catelli’s did weddings, and I was very impressed with their venue! Absolutely gorgeous, and lots of great photo opportunities. In meeting with Taylor & Amy ahead of time, I learned two things about them: Their love for each other is undeniable, and they are the most relaxed, go-with-the-flow, down to earth couple! I enjoyed my time with them and their incredible families. I had lots of favorite moments from this wedding, my first as a Geyserville wedding photographer, and it was probably the wedding I cried the most at, so I’m going to jump right into that:
–Amy is hilarious. When setting up for the first look with her twin brother and uncles, she sat on the floor of the bar. She sat on the floor multiple times throughout the day, which just goes to show how relaxed and non-bridezilla she is. The first look itself had me in tears, as she and her twin brother both cried upon seeing each other. You can tell that these two are extremely close.
–During the ceremony, someone came in late and thought they were coming in the back door. Turns out he was walking right in the middle of the ceremony, so when he tried to abort mission Amy went back and grabbed him, and forced him to walk through. You could tell he was embarrassed, but it gave everyone a laugh and the ceremony continued on.
–Robbie, Amy’s brother, had already seen her during the first look–but that didn’t stop him from crying again when their Mom was walking Amy down the aisle.
–Everyone knew, except Amy’s Mom, that she was surprising her with a dance together during the reception. Mom thought Amy was dancing with her brother, but then was surprised to see it was actually for her. They cried together, laughed, and then Amy’s two siblings joined them at the end. Love the connection between these four. You can tell they’re ALL close, and that they mean so much to one another. I cried a lot, and it really made me miss my mom.
–Taylor’s family was absolutely incredible. I didn’t believe his mom was actually his mom because she’s so incredibly gorgeous and young, and his step-parents and Dad were so easy going and down to earth as well. You can tell where he gets it!
