Ruby and her mom, Forest, met me out at Goat Rock Beach in Jenner for her senior photo session. I always try to warn my clients that when they want to shoot at the beach, it’s VERY unpredictable out there. We could be working with sun or clouds, and there’s always a great chance that we’ll be battling wind. I had my own photos done at the beach, and my curled hair was destroyed in minutes! Luckily, Ruby didn’t care much about her hair getting messed up. In fact, she was even wanting to get in the water! Amazing.
We started up at the top of the beach area, and there’s a funny picture of Forest pulling all the “pokeys” out of the bottom of Ruby’s shoe. Poor girl! I got a couple too, but not as bad! She was a serious trooper. We had a blast when we got down to the ocean, too, and chased the light all the way down the beach until we found the perfect spot. How gorgeous is she?!
Ruby had lots of great ideas, and I was excited to work them into the session. I love when my clients have their own ideas to incorporate! Really helps get the creative juices flowing.
