Sonoma County Wedding Photographer Travels to the East Bay: Dublin Ranch Golf Course
Before I dive in, a little clarification—“Phoon” isn’t her real name. Her name is Stephanie, but I’ve affectionately called her Phoon since I was about 13. We go way back—she was a friend of my older cousins, and over the years, she has become a part of my extended family in the best way. Gentle, kind, and unapologetically herself, Stephanie has always had a way of lighting up the room with her heart and authenticity. So being invited to photograph her wedding was extra special for me—it felt like celebrating someone I’ve truly known my whole life.
Stephanie and Ken tied the knot in the beautiful East Bay, and I had the joy of traveling there to capture every detail of their day. From the very start, it was clear this wedding was full of love, laughter, and personal touches that reflected their personalities. I especially adored Stephanie’s non-traditional wedding dress choice—it was bold, elegant, and perfectly her, and it made her radiate in a way that only she can.
Ken, who I quickly came to adore, brought along his two daughters, who were absolute gems to meet. Their energy and smiles added another layer of joy to the day, making the ceremony and celebration feel like a warm, extended family gathering. Speaking of family, my own cousins were there too, which made this wedding feel like a full-circle moment—celebrating someone I’ve known for so long, surrounded by the people who shaped our lives together.
From heartfelt vows to playful family moments, the day was packed with genuine emotion and laughter. I left the wedding with a full heart, grateful to witness such a meaningful celebration. It was one of those weddings that reminded me why I love what I do: capturing real connections, authentic joy, and memories that will last a lifetime.
