San Francisco City Hall Wedding: Luke & Jessica

I met Jessica to discuss their upcoming City Hall wedding and immediately fell in love with her and their love story. They’d been together for awhile, and had been engaged for a couple years, but she was in nursing school and the time just wasn’t “right” for a big wedding. So they decided to get married at city hall, and none of their friends or family knew about it! She even asked if I’d be comfortable signing as their witness since I’d be the only other person with them (UM, duh!). My second shooter, Scout, decided to tag along too and I was glad she was not only for the company and carpool lane on the way down & back, but she was also able to capture a shot of me signing the certificate! It was a beautiful day in the city, though it was a little windy and chilly. We got down there with no trouble, and found Jessica & Luke immediately–we actually were even parked right next to each other! I was so glad they had opted for and scheduled an early ceremony, as we had the place virtually to ourselves in the beginning. Note to future couples, the earlier the better! City Hall only got busier as the day went on, and we were thankful for the time we had with fewer people around both before the ceremony as well as during and immediately after. Both Jessica & Luke have an easygoing happy nature about them, and both Scout and I felt connected and comfortable with them almost immediately. We had a great time wandering around the gorgeous city hall building and getting various shots of them. Immediately following the ceremony, both Scout and I couldn’t help but mention how special it was. It was so intimate, so special, that it was just the five us present to witness their nuptials. While I also love the big weddings, this was really something special to be apart of!

Jessica & Luke, your love for each other is so apparent and inspiring! Thanks for choosing me to be apart of your day, I wish you all the best and hope to work together again in the future!

it was so hard to choose images to share because you guys made EVERY shot look good, but here are some faves!
