Christina & Alma were married at the Veteran’s hall in Albany, CA near Berkeley, in the East Bay. What a crazy day, weather wise! On my drive down I switched between needing sunglasses on and windshield wipers at full speed like 15 times, no joke! But we got SO lucky–it poured when we didn’t need to be outside, and stopped when we didn’t. AND–guys….I got a rainbow. How lucky! I knew on the way down that I would–I just had a gut feeling. And sure enough, we saw one right where we were taking photos outside. Composition-wise and technically speaking, it’s not a great photo. BUT, it was what i had to work with, and I’m still happy I got it!
Christina and Alma are so much fun. And OMG, the food–street tacos, are you kidding me? I usually bring my own lunch to weddings (and I had this day, too) but who can turn down tacos?
One of my favorite moments from Christina & Alma’s wedding (besides seeing my adorable nephew and his mom, my best friend, both in suspenders) was the snake event. I forget exactly what it’s called, but the spouses stand on chairs with a piece of material between them, and people link hands and run around the room like a snake, and bump into the spouses when they run between them. It signifies marriage–there will always be bumps in the road, and things/people that try to break your bond. So cool!
Thanks guys–love you both, and I had a great time!
