This is one of my favorite little families to photograph. Jessica is my best friends cousin, and one of my “regulars”. I just love photographing her family, because they are proud of who they are and show it in their photo! They run a dairy in Petaluma, and sometimes we do some country style photos at their house/dairy, and sometimes we do them at Jessica’s mom’s house. Jessica had her wedding there in Petaluma, and it’s just an absolutely gorgeous setting. I love it! We always get great photos there. One of the things I love about doing the Silacci/Botelho family photos, is that I almost always get to meet a new cow. I’m serious! It’s so awesome. I love cows, I think they gorgeous animals, and I love seeing how unique they all are from each other. No, really, they are! This is Judy, and she did photos with Jessica’s youngest, Cody. We did a very similar setup a couple years ago now, with Jessica’s son Joey, and a cow named Bama. I’ve also met Waylon, who was a gorgeous reddish-colored calf that I don’t think they have anymore 🙁 But I do have some great photos of him I’ll have to dig up.
I also love that Jessica gets her family involved in her photos! It’s a great photo idea– You can involve your family or your spouse’s family, and they get some great images to have, too. Jessica had her parents and her brother get in on some photos, and I absolutely love that.
I love Sonoma county, and I love Family Photography–it’s become one of my favorite “types” to shoot. I get to watch people’s kids grow and change right before my eyes, always in a beautiful place in our gorgeous area! Here are some of my favorites from Jessica’s shoot:
