There are weddings that stick with you forever—and Lauren & Scott’s wedding at BR Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen is absolutely one of them. From the moment I met these two, I knew their day would be special. Not only are they an amazing couple with incredible style and chemistry, but they’re also the kind of people you feel instantly connected to. I adored them both from the start.
One of the first things I learned about them? They had just opened up a bar together! As someone who’s always up for supporting my couples even after the wedding, I’ve had their bar on my list ever since and can’t wait to finally check it out!
Their wedding day at BR Cohn Winery was simply stunning. Nestled in the heart of Sonoma wine country, the venue offered the perfect mix of rustic charm, vineyard views, and golden California light. And that light—oh, it was magic. Some of my favorite photos of the entire day were of the two of them basking in the soft glow of sunset, surrounded by the rolling hills and vines. You really couldn’t ask for a more romantic backdrop.
From a photographer’s perspective, the whole day was a dream—but it was also filled with those real, emotional moments that make my job so meaningful. After their first look, Lauren had tears in her eyes, and I got to play the role of tear-dryer (a role I happily take on more than you’d expect!). Being there for those raw, in-between moments is something I’ll never take for granted.
The celebration had so many personal touches, including one of the most hilarious and unexpected things I’ve seen at a wedding: a guest with a bag full of tiny plastic baby figurines. Yes—mini babies. This mystery guest was stealthily planting them in all kinds of places throughout the day, and it became this lighthearted Easter egg hunt for everyone involved. It’s little things like that that make each wedding so uniquely memorable.
Working with Lauren & Scott didn’t feel like work at all—it felt like hanging out with two friends. Their warmth, humor, and love for each other was contagious, and I left that night feeling so grateful that this is what I get to do for a living.
