Kayley & Steve were married at Oakmont Golf Course in Santa Rosa, CA. It was a beautiful day! It seemed like our first real visit from “Fall” weather, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Kayley & Steve were so relaxed, and had the perfect size wedding! Only 50 or so guests, and each had only one bridesmaid/groomsman (their sister & brother). LOVE! That made things so easy! Don’t get me wrong, I love a big wedding too (I had a big wedding), but less people just seemed so intimate and special.
Kayley could not have been a more perfect bride–almost to a fault! She was so nonchalant about the whole thing. Picture the most bride-zilla manner you can, and take a complete 180 of that–that was Kayley. She was calm, and the small details really didn’t seem to matter to her! Talk about easy to please!
Oakmont is a great venue. I’ve photographed a few weddings here now, and was in my BFF’s wedding this year here, too. The staff is phenomenal, and really make sure everything flows smoothly. Couldn’t have asked for more!
Kayley’s brother & dad did the DJ’ing, so it was fun to see them also get out on the dance floor. This was a seriously amazing dance crowd! Everyone rocked it. Those are some of my favorite shots. And Kayley’s mom was just the sweetest! She asked my second shooter & I to stay and have some drinks with them, and even offered to drive us home. Um, amazing! We didn’t take her up on it, but I bet we would have had a great time if we did.
